About the event
Write a poem. Then destroy it.
Ruin & Rebuild is a powerful, playful masterclass that invites you to loosen your grip on perfection and rediscover the joy of creative freedom. Together, we’ll write a poem, and then tear it apart, literally, using fragments, chance, and instinct to build something entirely new.
This session explores what happens when we let go of control, ownership, and expectations, allowing the poem to surprise us instead. Through guided exercises, you’ll learn how destruction can become a tool for discovery, leading to work that’s often bolder, stranger, and more honest than the original.
Perfect for poets feeling stuck, over-editing, or clinging too tightly to their drafts, and for anyone ready to take creative risks in a supportive environment.
Messy. Liberating. Transformative.
